Douglas B. Hayes is a partner with Hurwitz, Orihuela & Hayes. Doug has litigated a wide range of employment related matters including: sexual harassment, discrimination, medical and family leave, wage and hour issues, and unfair business practices.
Prior to joining Cory Hurwitz and Nick Orihuela, Doug worked with the Schlehr Law Firm and the Law Offices of Joseph M. Lovretovich where he developed his litigation skills.
Doug is a graduate of Loyola Law School and UCLA. In law school, Doug was a Justice on the Scott Moot Court Honors Board and a member of the International and Comparative Law Review.
In 2007 and 2010 through 2014, Mr. Hayes was selected as a “Rising Star” by the Southern California Superlawyers publication. Only 2.5% of Southern California’s attorneys under the age of forty (40) or in practice for less than ten (10) years receive this honor each year.
In his free time, Doug is an avid sports fan, enjoying all things related to the UCLA Bruins and the Los Angeles Lakers. He is married to his lovely wife, Lan, who practices entertainment and business litigation in Beverly Hills.
He is a member of the California Employment Lawyers Association (CELA), Consumer Attorneys Association Los Angeles (CAALA), and American Bar Association (ABA).
